        <title>Special Announcement: Eboard Elections</title>
        <description>&lt;p&gt;Hello everybody!  As it is the end of the semester, we are having eboard elections!  There are 4 positions: President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary.  If you are interested in any of the positions, please dm or email an eboard member.  We will hold the elections at the start of our meeting on the 24th.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;In order to be eligible, you must have attended at least 50% of the meetings this semester.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Stay tuned for our regularly scheduled announcements, resuming Wednesday&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This week, Lyx will talk about shell scripting and how shell scripts can automate various tasks.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;As always, we’ll meet in GOL-1455 this Friday from 4:30-6:00pm.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Also, &lt;strong&gt;Lightning Talks&lt;/strong&gt; will occur on &lt;strong&gt;April 3rd&lt;/strong&gt; (two weeks from now)! Make a five-to-ten
minute presentation on anything you’d like and present it, if you’d like. Topics can be
linux/FOSS-related if you want, but can also be about literally anything else.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Reinstalling and configuring an operating system takes &lt;em&gt;checks watch&lt;/em&gt; a long time. Sometimes there’s one setting that is either critical to your setup or breaks it. This week, Freya will be talking about declarative package management through Nix and Guix, how a declarative and reproducible system works, and how it fixes this!&lt;/p&gt;
